Challenges

Due to its exceptional sound quality the 3M™ Littmann® Model 3200 is the preferred electronic stethoscope by most high-end telehealth providers. However, the current solutions used with this stethoscope do have limitations due to a non-standard Bluetooth interface, no interoperability capabilities and limited user management functionalities for facility or end-user management.

Solution

To address these challenges, the TeleSensi team developed a stethoscope streaming web application optimized for heart and lung sounds. Integral to this solution is the ability to connect through a browser to any stethoscope with a computer audio interface — including both the 3M Littmann 3200, ThinkLabs One and JEDMED OMNISteth.

Outcome

GPT is able to deploy a web-enabled stethoscope streaming solution to all their partners. They manage all the facilities and user access from the online TeleSensi portal. With the flat learning curve and centrally hosted system, scalability becomes seamless across the GPT network. Online support tools and a dedicated team allows GPT to provide a world class solution to their partners with an up-time of more than 99.99%
